WELCOME TO THE
KEELBY CRICKET CLUB WEBSITE
Keelby is approximately 15 miles west of Grimsby. The Cricket Club can trace its origins to 1896, when in a local paper there was mention of a cricket match played on the Village green. The present club was formed in late 1975 and played it's first season in the Grimsby League in 1976. After many successful years on The Village Green, the club moved to a brand new sports facility located at the end of Yarborough Road and Stallingborough Road. The club has grown steadily over the years, moving out of the Grimsby League into the Humberside Alliance and eventually into the Lincolnshire League, where there are now two teams competing. Keelby C.C. also has a team in the Grimsby Midweek League.
Regretfully, due to ageing membership and a lack of players committing to playing on a regular basis, Keelby's weekend cricket has now ceased. There is still some midweek 20 over cricket played.
